FAQs

Why does the text flicker when I first open a session? There is a bug in the iPhone OS. When a scrollable text view is embedded in another scrollable view (such as a multi-page or list view), the text is sometimes invisible or drawn wrongly. viJournal M includes a workaround to counteract this system bug. The flicker you sometimes see is a side-effect.

Why is the text sometimes invisible when I first open a session? See the answer to "Why does the text flicker when I first open a session?". In this case, the workaround has failed to counteract the system bug.

Why is the text sometimes the wrong width when I switch to or from landscape mode? Once again, see the answer to "Why does the text flicker when I first open a session?". In this case, the workaround has failed to counteract the system bug.

Why are my photos mangled when I send them in an email? There seems to be a problem with some email servers corrupting the image data. It appears to be the incoming rather than the outgoing server that does this. The issue is currently being investigated. In the meantime, if you have more than one email account, try sending to one which uses a different server.

I can't find the button to send my entries to viJournal. You need the Action button (that's the one with the little arrow coming out of a box) at the bottom of the Journals screen.

How do I get back to the Entries screen when I'm in landscape mode? You need to rotate back to portrait mode to expose the button. To save screen space, the navigation bar is hidden in landscape mode (except when you're editing, when it has to be displayed for the Save/Cancel buttons).
